Underwater housing for Nikon D850

Much lighter than previous enclosures.
Using unprecedented precision machining, the dimensions of the housing are similar to those of the camera. Moreover, the revised internal design has also contributed to lower weight. The MDX-D850 is about 11% (350 g / 12.3 oz) lighter than the previous MDX-D810 housing.

Various controls can be operated while holding the handles.
Commonly used main and sub adjustment dials are now located directly on the right side of the housing. ISO, REC and other camera functions can be controlled with external levers while holding the grips. The AF lock function lets you fix the focus point as desired.

YS optical converter / N1 can be built into the housing

Compatible with Optical YS Converter / N1 for MDX housing, which converts the camera's hot shoe TTL signal into a light signal. Both TTL and manual flash settings can be used and controlled from the housing using a Fiber-Optical cable II.
* Fiber-Optical cable II is required when using the optical YS converter.
* Serial numbers 124000274 and above are compatible with the Nikon D850. Serial numbers below 124000274 are not compatible. New firmware and/or conversion of the converter is required.

All dials have a spring (damper) to prevent the controls from slipping, even if the camera sizes differ slightly or even if the gears or other components wear slightly.

MDX-D850 Other functions
-The gate lock prevents the gate from rotating or becoming loose, and the gate lock lever is specially positioned to prevent accidental unlocking.
-The housing features a lens lock button that makes it easy to change lenses without opening the housing.
-The camera's diopter control can be operated from outside the housing. This function is useful when two or more people with different eyesight are using the housing.
-Extending the Focus / Zoom Dial gives enough space in the housing to easily accommodate larger-diameter lenses.
-All controls have Glow in the dark stickers that light up in dark environments.
-Equipped with the optical viewfinder standard 0.5x. Other optional viewfinders such as the VF180 1.2x, VF45 1.2x and optical viewfinder 0.8x can be used.
* When the VF180 1.2x is mounted on the MDX-D850 housing, the lower part of the camera's viewfinder (where shooting data is displayed) cannot be viewed due to light debris.
-Sync Cord 2-pin Connector allows the use of conventional hardwired Sync cable (manual mode only).
-Accessory port allows use of Leak Sentinel (vacuum sensor).
-Equipped with two zinc diodes (one at the front and the other at the back) to prevent damage caused by electrolysis.
-Built-in leak sensor instantly alerts you to water intrusion.
-Stand screw mount is located at the central bottom of the housing.
