Gunter Daniel has been diving for more than 30 years and was president of the Saarländischer Tauchsportbund from 2013 to 2023. He holds a CMAS Diving Instructor Level 2 and Underwater Photo Instructor Level 3 from the German Underwater Federation VDST and co-authored the three-part instruction book series Underwater Photography for VDST.

In the early 1990s, Gunter started his career as an underwater photographer with a true classic, the Motormarine II from Sea & Sea. Because of its absolute reliability, for ten years and more than hundreds of dives, he works again and again with his Canon EOS 450D in the RDX-450D housing and two flash units YS-110 α from Sea & Sea. A combination characterised by high practicability and robustness.
